What to Expect at Your Pet’s First Vet Visit

Bring records, ask about vaccines, parasites, and diet, and book a baseline wellness exam early.

What to Expect at Your Pet’s First Vet Visit

Schedule a wellness exam soon after adoption. The vet will check weight, teeth, heart, and skin, and discuss vaccines and parasite prevention.

Bring any shelter records, current food brand, and a list of questions. Ask about spay/neuter timing and microchipping if not done yet.

Keep a simple health notebook at home: vaccine dates, flea products, and unusual symptoms. It saves time at future visits.
